introductions

Hello all!

I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a blog/YouTube channel for a while now. I’m incredibly passionate about the science of Psychology, and want to be able to share my passion with others. I figured this would be a nice little hobby and it would also give me the chance to throw in tidbits of information, too.

I guess I’ll start with talking about me (another favorite pass time)

I’m a University student who recently graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and am happy to say I am continuing my education in graduate school to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in August 2017. Throughout my education, I have found that there is still quite a bit of stigma surrounding mental health-even in young people.

I want to change that.ย

What I currently plan to do is post an informational discussion post about different clinical disorders and different treatment options. Likely going to talk about mental health in the news and media, too. ย If anyone is reading this…thoughts? I’m hoping that as (or if??) this blog gains traction, there will be requests and interaction from readers. I see too much misinformation being passed through the media to not share my educated viewpoint.

If there are any particular questions or interesting topics anyone would like a discussion opened up about, I would love to hear it!
